Coachable Wearable

The Coachable Wearable is a device that allows skiers to track their performance through several metrics such as speed, # of runs, duration of runs, etc. This device was created with our capstone company partner, Coachable. The wearable automatically tracks data that pertains to skiing which is then viewable on our website. By allowing coaches to see the metrics of skiers such as total distance travelled, # of runs, etc. They will be able to then more accurately prescribe the proper training regiment that the skiers need.

Key Technologies:

  • Hardware: We are using the ESP32 Thing with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities to track and send our data

  • Website: We are using Laravel framework to create an MVC website

  • Cloud: We are using Azure to host our MySQL database and our API (created in ASP.NET)
